Girdwood 2020 Celebrated its 14th Annual Banquet Meeting & Fundraiser
on March 15, 2014 at Alyeska Resort.
Governor Sean Parnell was our keynote speaker. Governor Parnell spoke about state projects
underway, many of them top priorities for Girdwood 2020. The Governor included some kind remarks about
the positive results of Girdwood 2020’s efforts over the years.
Sen. Cathy Giessel also marked the event by presenting Kerry Dorius of Girdwood Clinic with a citation from the 28th Alaska State Legislature
honoring her for exemplary dedication and compassion for her community
The Go For The Gold grant deadline is January 1, 2014. This grant helps Alaska’s Olympic hopefuls with the costs of competing at this high level. To download an application or read about qualifications to apply go to Go For The Gold .
The Girdwood Board of Supervisors recently submitted their Capital Improvements Project List to the Anchorage Municipality. This list will then move to Juneau to look for support. To read about what is on the 2014 list go to our Projects Page
