2011 Girdwood 2020 Golf Tournament The Seventh Annual Girdwood 2020 Golf Tournament is rapidly approaching on August 30, 2011. This is one of two events this year that provides vital dollars for Girdwood 2020 to support worthwhile community projects and for Alaska Winter Olympic Foundation to support Alaska Athletes in pursuing the Olympic dream. Your participation in these events and as a Girdwood 2020 member is greatly appreciated. We know that you care about this organization and Alaska Olympic Athletes, and we need your help again this year to make this one of the most successful tournaments ever by putting together a foursome, sponsoring meals, a snack cart, one of the holes, or donating prizes for the competitors. The 2011 Girdwood 2020 Golf Tournament will continue our relationship with the Alaska Winter Olympic Foundation. AWOF will arrange for Alaskan Olympians to come and play in our golf tournament to help raise money for the benefit of the Alaska Winter Olympic Foundation. The Alaskan Olympians will be auctioned off at the Kick-Off Party on Monday August 29th. Teams can buy an Olympian to play with their foursome for Girdwood 2020’s one day tournament. Proceeds will benefit the Alaska Winter Olympic Foundation.
